VANESSA LAWRENCE, Director General and Chief Executive of Ordnance Survey, United Kingdom
Vanessa is the adviser to the British Government on mapping, surveying and geographic information. In
addition to her work at Ordnance Survey, Vanessa is Chair of the ACE Association, which represents the Chief
Executives of public sector Agencies and NDPBs; Chair of the Geographic Information Panel; which gives
advice on cross-Government geographic Information issues, a member of the Board of Directors of the Open
Geospatial Consortium and a Patron of MapAction. She has recently retired as a Non-Executive Director of the
Department for Communities and Local Government.

RONALD LAKE, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Galdos Systems Inc.
Mr. Lake has more than 30 years experience in the development of advanced software systems, including more
than 20 years in advanced database, and spatial information systems. He is, a founding member of the Open
GIS Consortium, the creator of Geography Markup Language (GML), and chair of the GML Special Interest
Group. He is an acknowledged industry leader and technology innovator, has written and spoken extensively
on spatial technologies and the Internet and is widely acknowledged as a visionary in the area of advanced
spatial information systems.

DAVID MILLER, Chief Operating Officer, eSpatial Solutions Limited
David has over 25 years experience in the global IT industry having been responsible for operations, product
development delivery and business development in a number of international companies and having worked
within the venture capital industry. Previously, David has provided consultancy services to a number of Venture
Capital and Private Equity companies as well as carrying out management roles in a number of companies
including middleware company IONA Technologies (SVP Engineering), Sepro Telecom (COO), and a number
of other international IT companies including ICL/Fujitsu in Ireland and Logica in the Netherlands.

GEOF ZEISS, Director of Technology, Enterprise Solutions Architecture , Infrastructure Solutions Division Autodesk, Inc.
Geoff has more than 10 years experience developing enterprise geospatial solutions for the utilities,
communications, and public works industries. His particular interests include streamlining the infrastructure
management workflow at utilities, telecommunications firms and local government, open source geospatial
and Web 2.0 and its impact on infrastructure management, and converged BIM/CAD/GIS solutions. Geoff
came to Autodesk from MCI VISION* Solutions where he was Director of Product Development. VISION*
Solutions is credited with pioneering RDBMS-based spatial data management, CAD/GIS integration, and data
versioning in the utility, communications, and public works industries. Geoff is a frequent speaker at geospatial
events around the world including GITA (US, Australia, Japan), GeoBrazil, GeoTec, Location Intelligence, and MapAsia and
recently received Speaker Excellence Awards at GITA 2007.

DR. FAISAL AL TAMIMI, CEO/Senior Analyst/Project Manager, Tamimi Consulting Firm
Dr. Tamimi experience over 30 years spans from teaching (associate professor at King Saud University teaching
at the college of Architecture and Planning and the College of Computer science. He also was the chairman of
the Planning department, the supervisor of the university studies and organization department and the
manager of the information systems development program from 1985-1991.
Prior to opening his firm, he was a consultant to several government organizations, the ministry of planning, the
royal commission for Jubail and Yanbu, the Saudi Central Electricity Company, the Ministry of Commerce as
well as a member of numerous committees for the university development, science and technology strategy, five year planning,
and conference organizations.

Dr. R Siva Kumar, Head NRDMS & NSDI, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India
Dr R Siva Kumar graduated in Production Engineering with the First Rank from Sri Venkateswara University and
obtained his Post Graduate Diploma in computer Methods and Programming with a Gold Medal. He was
commissioned into Corps of Engineers of the Indian Army in June 1977 and later seconded to Survey of India in
Oct 1979. He holds the rank of Brigadier in the Indian Army. He has varied experience in all aspects of
surveying and mapping though his specialization is Photogrammetry. He obtained his PG Diploma in
Production Photogrammetry with Distinction from ITC, the Netherlands. His thesis ' A multi-source digital
topographic data base for India' earned him the Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.

STEFANO MORISI, Vice President EMEA Bentley Geospatial
Stefano Morisi, Vice President EMEA, Bentley Geospatial, began his career in 1985 as a sales representative in
the mechanical design industry. In 1988 he joined Prime Computervision Italia as area manager for the GIS
solutions. He later held the same position with Intergraph Italia, where he was soon named sales director for
Italy, Greece and the Balkans. Mr. Morisi joined Bentley in 1994 as managing director and president of Bentley
Systems Italia. In this capacity, he was charged with opening the Italian regional office and initiating operations
in Italy, Greece and the former Yugoslavia. In 1999 he was named vice president with responsibility over Italy,
France and Spain and in 2001 he held the same position for the Mediterranean and Middle East region. In
2004 he was named vice president for the Geospatial industry covering the EMEA area.

Leica Geosystems Geospatial Imaging LLC, Chief Executive Officer - Acquis Group
Liam Mc Geown, founder of the Acquis Group, is recognized worldwide as a visionary who has advanced
innovation and development of enterprise spatial technology in the Spatial Information Market (SIM). Liam
McGeown has over 25 years of project management and technical experience in the design and
implementation of spatial database systems. He has been closely involved with the development of Oracle
spatial technologies since the release of Oracle Spatial in 1997. He has unique experience in all aspects of the
design, implementation and deployment of Internet solutions for Oracle Spatial.

MIKE TURNILL, Product Manager for Oracle Spatial and Multi-Media Technologies
Mike works with a wide range of customers and partners who are using spatial technologies, assisting them to
exploit the Oracle platform. Internally works with business and sales managers within all European and Middle
East subsidiaries.
Mike initially worked within Oracle Consulting and later within EMEA Marketing and EMEA Operations in a
variety of roles. He was responsible for integrating the Rdb customer base and Rdb Product Family, (purchased
in 1994 from Digital Corporation) into the European subsidiaries.

DOMINIC MCPOLIN, Chartered Town Planner and Chartered Surveyor,
Specialist in Infrastructure Planning and Coordination
Mr. McPolin holds two degrees in Planning together with the postgraduate entry examinations of the Royal
Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Mr. McPolin has worked in Bahrain for almost 20 years in the Office of the
Minister and he has been the Head of the Central Planning Unit (CPU) in the Ministry of Works and Housing
since 1997. The CPU is responsible for the coordination of the planning and implementation of all
infrastructure in Bahrain. Mr. McPolin has served on many high level committees including the Bahrain
National Plan Steering Committee (2006), the Formula One task team (2003), the Al Ezzel private power station
(2006), Implementation Committee (2005).

ED PARSONS, Geospatial Technologist of Google
Parsons was the first Chief Technology Officer in the 200-year-old history of Ordnance Survey, and was
instrumental in moving the focus of the organization from mapping to Geographical Information. Parsons
developed technology strategy, identified strategic technology partners, and lead the Ordnance Survey
Research Labs, leading an overall team of more than 200 people. Parsons came to the Ordnance Survey from
Autodesk, where he was EMEA Applications Manager for the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Division.
During his tenure, he helped Autodesk to become one of the key providers of GIS software.

OSCAR CUSTERS, Business Development Director, Geospatial
Oscar Custers is Bentley System, Inc.'s overseas business development director for geospatial; managing
Bentley's key accounts outside of North America. Since joining Bentley in 1998, Mr. Custers has organized 3
global Bentley research seminars, and delivered numerous high-level presentations and papers in various
international industry conferences.
Graduating with a degree in Geographic Information Science from the University of Utrecht, Mr. Custers began
his work in the Geospatial field over 15 years ago; with a primary focus on Land and Property |
